Travel tips for Japan first timers Our Journey Tokyo - Sendai - Kyoto - Osaka - Okinawa - Tokyo What to consider before going to Japan Our preparation for Japan began in the Philippines, the place from where we departured to Japan. We had the flight and accommodations already booked before, but everything else we organized from the Philippines. Luckily, as of May 8th, you don't need to fill out the entry form anymore, which is much comfortable now. As we only had 2 COVID vaccinations, we had to get a PCR test 72hours before the flight. At that time, we were on an island called Panglao, Bohol.  Our Hotel offered scooters for renting, which was very nice for us to move around the island freely. Therefore we drove to the city of Tagbilaran to check, where we will have to do the PCR test. By the time we wanted to do the test, they said that they ran out of tests and we have to drive to another testing centre, which was the Bohol Containerized PCR Laboratory.  The testing went very smoo

My first touch with Japanese culture

It is my first time in Japan. I have always dreamed of visiting this country. I have been in touch with many different sides of Japanese culture before: Karate As I was a kid, I went to Karate training for more than 12 years. My level in karate was the 2nd Kyu (second brown belt). Unfortunately, back then, I wasn’t impressed by the sport that much and I didn’t like practicing it. I felt forced to do it and therefore I didn’t continue to get the black belt.  Family My aunt is living in Japan with my two cousins. I remember when they moved to Japan, I was still very young. I always thought it is so difficult to move to a country where you don’t know the language and writing. However, my cousin was still a teenager and she could learn the language very fast.  Neighbor Our

Travelling the world has been a thought of probably every human being at some point in their life. But not everyone can afford it or has the courage or possibilities to do so. I am aware that my status in this world is highly privileged. I was born and raised in Switzerland, I was able to go to school and get educated very well, I am healthy and my family is very supportive. I have a stable income and I can do whatever I want to do in my free time. My life was joyful and pleasant for a long time, until I realised that I became a workaholic. My brain was not able to switch off anymore and I became mentally and physically sick. My happiness disappeared and I only saw negativity in life. Luckily, I was able to realise early enough that this was a very unhealthy lifestyle. I decided to take a break from work. But not only that, I finally made the decision to follow my dreams of travelling and exploring new countries. I also procrastinated my wish to create a youtube channel until then, bu
